Christmas freeze may impact deployments deemed need for testing
Risk Description:
There is a significant risk that the annual "Christmas Freeze" on production deployments—tentatively schedule for December 15th through January 3rd — will delay the critical path of the project, resulting in a minimum three-week slippage of the Go-Live date and potential budget overruns due to extended resource retention.
Mitigation Plan:
We will perform a granular impact assessment to show that the planned deployments involve "low-risk" infrastructure changes and have "high-value" security patches that will actually stabilize the environment. Stakeholders are lobbying SecOps to get waivers for our deployments.
